Ike: I have issued a travel ban for all Australians warning that they could be illegally arrested for taking tourist like photos/video in you county. This ban will remain in place until the leo's responsible for the recent disgraceful actions are tried, removed from office and barred from law enforcement for life. Please advise when it will be safe for our citizens to travel to your county, from Queensland, Australia.
I watched 2 sheriff deputies with a jail matron harass a photographer taking pictures on a public sidewalk. They tried to ID him but he did not commit a crime. Photographer asked for their names and badge numbers, they refused and walked away. They are required,as public servants, to state their names and badge numbers when requested by the public. A 3rd person in plain clothes asked for his ID, a 3rd deputy then confronts the photographer, demands ID, when asked what crime he committed, the deputy arrested him. He doesn't know WHY he was arrested, as he was NOT committing a crime. A person has to be LAWFULLY arrested for a CRIME to be required to show identification.
Let’s see is the public supports them whenever there is an officer that gets killed in the line of duty. No one will support these idiots that violate laws but are supposed to uphold them. Let’s see if the chief makes the right decision.
